Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus, was brought up by Tish Cyrus Billy Ray Cyrus, and her siblings at Thompson's Station in Tennessee. Her siblings include Two half-brothers, a half sister, and an older sibling and brother. Her parents chose her name because they hoped she would achieve the heights of success. Miley is her childhood nickname Smiley. This was due to Smiley's cheerful nature. Her father, a Democrat political figure, Ron Cyrus, was her paternal grandparents. Cyrus began her education at Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. At the age of eight, her family moved into Toronto, Canada, where Cyrus her father Billy Ray took a role in the TV series Doc (2001). It was around this time when Cyrus determined that she wanted to act as well. The first time she acted was alongside the father of her character in Doc (2001). She also starred in one small part in Tim Burton's Big Fish. Cyrus played the lead role for the character Hannah Montana (2006). The series revolves around an adolescent girl who has a secret life of the world's biggest pop star. Once again, her father was on the show with her. The show went on to be an enormous success. Record sales, tour dates which sold out, and contracts for merchandise were also signed. Cyrus became a teen superstar. Cyrus started to play other roles following her popularity as Hannah Montana (2006). These included playing Ronnie Miller (in The Last Song in 2010) and Lola (in LOL (2012)), alongside Demi Moor.
